Business Economics classes go to FHSU Finance Lab
On Tuesday, May 3 and Tuesday, May 10, instructor Silas Hibbs’s Business Economics class went on a field trip to the Fort Hays State University Finance Lab.
There, the class talked to finance professor Dr. Tom Johansen, who discussed topics such as investing in stocks and FHSU’s finance courses.
“I thought the trip was valuable because the trip went far into detail about the Bloomberg terminals that they had recently gotten,” junior Cade Becker said. “It was surprising to know that Fort Hays had the same amount of machines as K-State and KU for such a smaller school. These terminals are extremely expensive but allow for quicker knowledge with people who trade stocks.”
