Students attend annual Talent Show
On Wednesday, March 30 , students gathered in Gym A during PRIDE Tiem to watch the annual Student Council Talent Show.
There were five talent acts total. First, sophomores Gauge Horlick, Connor Rodgers and Brendan Stults played guitar as the opening act.
Following that, senior Shirley Lee-Jones performed “Hurt” by American singer Christina Aguilera.
Next, Eddie Segundo performed a dance number.
Fourth, junior Carter Muehleisen and freshman Parker Muehleisen performed a song they wrote called, “Your Worst Nightmare”.
To close the show, seniors Keatyn Barnett, Tyler Solida, Sam Vesper and Sydney Wittkorn performed a “Where Are You Perry?” skit from the American television show, “Phineas and Ferb”.
First place went to the Muehleisen brothers, second place to Lee-Jones and third place to Barnett, Solida, Vesper and Wittkorn.
“I think the hardest part about performing was the nerves,” Lee-Jones said. “It doesn’t matter how many times I perform; the nerves always make an appearance. I tried out because I love performing. Whether it’s in our school musical or for the Talent Show, I do it.”
