Hays High hosts ACT and WorkKeys make-up assessments
The ACT make-up test from the February testing date was held on Tuesday, April 6, and the WorkKeys make-up assessment was on Wednesday, April 7.
Scores should be sent to students within two weeks after taking the tests.
For the ACT, they will be graded by scale scores, which are used to track the growth within each individual’s skills over time. These scale scores are not used for hiring or advancement decisions, but they can be used for scholarships and admissions.
For the WorkKeys, the scores are only shared with employers when the student is ready. Each assessment offers varying levels of difficulty. The levels build on each other, incorporating the skills assessed at the previous levels. The complexity can also increase as the quantity of the information increases.
The WorkKeys test covers eight subjects, including Applied Math, Workplace Documents, Graphic Literacy, Applied Technology, Business Writing, Fit, Talent, and Workplace Observation.
