FLHS member gathered together on Dec. 11 at 6 p.m. to exchange gifts, eat food and watch a movie. The group watched “The Polar Express.”

Foreign Language Honors Society (FLHS) invited its members to an end-of-semester activity night on Friday, Dec. 11 at 6 p.m.

The members who attended brought white elephant gifts to exchange and food items for everyone to eat. After grabbing food for themselves, the members chose members oldest to youngest to choose what gift they wished to open. They were given an option to trade gifts with another member, but everyone was content with their gifts. After everyone opened their presents, the members watched “The Polar Express.”

Club vice president, senior Sydney Walker, said that, since she joined the club her junior year, this is the first time FLHS has hosted an event such as this one.

The event was meant to create a bonding experience with the members and give the members an opportunity to celebrate the holidays with their peers.

Walker said she was excited to spend time with friends and watch a movie.

“My favorite part of the even was the gift exchange,” Walker said. “Although there wasn’t much exchanging since no one wanted to trade gifts, it was still extremely fun.”
