Students attend annual Northwest KMEA District Music Conference at FHSU

The annual KMEA District Music Conference took place on Dec. 7 at Fort Hays State University. The day began with rehearsals at 8 a.m. and concluded with a concert featuring band, orchestra, and choir students from across the northwest district.

The orchestra spent the day rehearsing in Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center. The ensemble was led by Dr. Thomas Dickey from Oklahoma State University.

Caitlin Leiker is a senior, and this is her third year in newspaper. She is involved in Chamber Singers, Musical, Spring Play, National Honor Society, Leadership Team and Jazz Band.
