JAG-K classes spend day at Fort Hays ropes course
JAG-K classes were given the day to work through the Fort Hays ropes course on Oct. 30.
Instructor Johnny Matlock split his classes into two groups. One would attend the course at 8:30 a.m. and one would attend at 11:30 a.m.
“It is really team building activities that we did,” Matlock said. “We were really interested in that.”
Matlock said activities like this can really help enforce the JAG-K purpose.
“Team building is something employers are looking for,” Matlock said. “They want their employees to have these skills.”
JAG-K focuses intently on future employment of its students.
“That is an important component of what we do,” Matlock said. “We try to prepare them with the soft skills needed to be a good employed, no matter the career. We want to try to give them as many of those skills as possible, so they will be successful.”
