Seniors deal with stress of future
With work pilling up, the constant pressure of keeping your grade as high as you can, college deadlines slowly making their way in and balancing sports or job on top of that senior year can be pretty stressful to students.
“I’m not prepared for musical yet and it has already started,” senior Madison Lisman said “That’s about how my senior year is going.”
With students applying to colleges and figuring out what to do after high school there is a weight on some shoulders while others aren’t that concerned.
“So far this year has been alright,” senior Devon Nichols said. “It has had some slight ups and downs but been alright.”
College Application deadlines in the state of Kansas are Nov. 1 and that is creeping closer with each day. But some students have no need to worry about what college they are wanting to get into. While some are still debating and narrowing their choices, others have known what they want to do forever.
“I have had my colleges planned out since middle school,” Lisman said. “So I’m good on that front.”
With classes, sports, homework, homecoming and a job to juggle, seniors seem to be in a whirlwind at the moment that doesn’t have a chance of stopping anytime in the near future.
“This is only the first chapter of your life essentially,” Nichols said. “If you do manage to mess up it is never too late to change that.”
