Teachers select prom candidates
Juniors and seniors will vote for the candidate they want to be crowned royalty the week of the dance. The king and queen will be announced at the dance on April 13.
This year’s prom candidates have been announced. The candidates are as follows;
Prom queen candidates; Savannah Bieker, Analyse Claude, Tara Hertel, Abby Kennemer, Sara Rohleder, Kaitlyn Schaben
Prom king candidates; Brendan Chapman, Jared Kisner, William Martin, Dustin Schneider, Mark Schuckman, Zachary Wagner
Schneider said that the experience is very exciting and he didn’t expect to be nominated.
“I think that prom is the most fun dance out of them all,” Schneider said. “Being a candidate will only add to the experience.”
Teachers were asked to select students they thought exceeded expectations. Bieker said she is very happy to be a candidate and is excited to attend the dance.
“It means a lot to be nominated by teachers,” Bieker said. “Prom is probably my favorite dance to attend, and since it is my senior year I wouldn’t want to miss out on the fun.”
The winners will be announced on April 14 during the dance.
