Helping Hands held a grand opening for the Indian Grounds coffee shop.

“The grand opening was a success,” Instructor Michelle Thacker said. “We had the Chamber of Commerce and students attend.”

The grand opening had complementary cookies for the guests while they listened to the students’ speeches.

“I had some students from Helping Hands speak about the benefit of the program during the grand opening,” Thacker said.

They opened the coffee shop and continued to serve drinks throughout the opening.

The price of a drink from Indian Grounds is $1. Indian Grounds also excepts coupons for the drinks in the mornings.

“The coupons are something that people buy for $1, so the staff and faculty who give them out actually bought them,” Thacker said.
