Students reflect on bonfire
The annual bonfire took place this Thursday and as usual, hundreds of students showed up to watch pallets burn and participate in class games.
“The fire was really pretty,” junior Haley Spears said. “It was fun being around all of our classmates.”
Junior Kamree Markley thought the games were the best part.
“The games were the most fun by far,” Markley said. “The dizzy game was the best. It’s so funny to just watch people fall.”
Aside from the games and actual fire, two seniors think the bonfire is a means of unity.
“It brings us all together,” senior Lanie Schmidt said. “We’re all there at the same time and being competitive.”
Senior Cameron Jensen added to Schmidt’s statement.
“I think for the seniors especially the bonfire is an important way to put aside the cliques and differences,” Jensen said. “It reunites us one last time for the sake of winning some class points.”
