Girls golf takes second at Hays Invitational on August 29
The girls golf team took second at the Hays High Invitational on Aug. 29, placing with a score of 203.
In first place, TMP – Marian scored 193. Following team scores were Liberal in third with 209 and Garden City with 211, earning them fourth place. Other team scores were Salina Central 218, Dodge City 225, Great Bend 229 and Salina South 266.
Individually, senior Katie Brungardt took fourth with a score of 46. Senior Talyn Kleweno followed closely behind in fifth place with a 47. Other individual scores were sophomore Emily McGuire with a 53 and sophomore Emily George with a 57.
The girls’ next action is at Salina Central on Sept. 6.
The current roster for the girls golf team is:
Sophmores: Emily George, Alexandria Hagerman, Hannah Harman, Emily McGuire and Bittani Park.
Seniors: Katie Brungardt, Katelyn Fross, Alanna Hansen, Talyn Kleweno and Breanna Park.
The coach this year is Mark Watts.
