Indians fall to Buhler in District opener
The Indians hosted the Class 4A Division 1, District 8 opener on Oct. 16. The Indians, with a 2-5 record, competed against the Buhler Crusaders, who were undefeated with a record of 6-0.
Buhler took an early lead in the first quarter, but the Indians stepped it up and ended it with a score of 7-6 with the Indians in the lead. The Crusaders took the lead as the second quarter played out, scoring a total of 19 points, ending the half with Buhler leading 25-7.
The second half was led by Buhler as they went on to score an additional 21 points in the third quarter. The Indians finished with one touchdown in the fourth quarter, ending the game with the Buhler Crusaders winning 46-14. The Indians will go on to play Abilene on Oct. 23.
