Seniors talk about school participation

As the end of their high school career approaches, seniors start to write their applications and resumes for the start of their adult lives. While creating these documents, they are often told to list all of the activities they had been in as students. Upon doing this many are reminded of opportunities they passed up and what they would tell other students to do if given the same opportunities.
“I wish I would’ve started the activities I do sooner,” senior Bethany Kuhn said. “I missed out on a lot freshman and sophomore years.”
Senior Grace Walker relates to Kuhn.
“I wish I would’ve done tennis or some related sport,” Walker said. “This is because I need to get in shape, but I have no motivation. In a sport, they’d just make me do it whether I was motivated or not.”
Some seniors feel like they tried everything they wanted to.
“There wasn’t anything I really wish I would’ve done,” senior Aaron Jeffus said. “I’ve been involved in a lot. Which I think is a good thing.”
There is a lot of advice about trying new activities while you can.
“If you think you’ll enjoy it, then do it,” Jeffus said. “It’ll be an experience you wouldn’t have had otherwise.”
Walker and Kuhn have similar advice.
“You only have four years,” Kuhn said. “It’s always good to try it. If you don’t like it, you don’t have to stick with it, and you don’t lose anything.”
