Lights, Camera, Stage Crew
While the cast puts in an incredible amount of work and dedication to the Spring Play, they are not the only ones involved. The stage crew also puts in effort to make sure the play runs smoothly.
“I wanted to be on stage crew because I really wanted to be part of the Spring Play,” freshman Cheyanne Adkins said.
Many members of the stage crew have similar duties.
“I move things on and off stage, make sure props are in the right places, straighten things out, and make sure the cast has the right props at the right times,” Adkins said. “I also make sure the floor is swept and clean.”
Junior Cole Jacobsen’s tasks slightly vary from that of his fellow crew members.
“I ring the phone and the doorbell and I open doors,” Jacobsen said.
Crew members enjoy being part of the play.
“It’s fun because I get to interact with the cast while I’m not doing anything,” Jacobsen said. “I don’t act and I wanted to be around my friends, so I did crew.”
Other members of the crew include sophomore Anissia Day, freshman Rylea Barrett, junior Nikki Vuong, and sophomore Raina Basso.
