‘Squid Games’ enters Netflix with record braking numbers
“Squid Games” is a fictional Korean series-based drama that centers around the vast cultures of South Korea. “Squid Games” was written by Jung Jae-il and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, who took roughly 10 years to make the show.
The show released solely to Netflix on Sept. 17. Squid Games released solely to Netflix on Sept. 17. In just 17 days, it had reached 111 million global accounts, something no other show has accomplished.
The story is derived from the ideas of debt, misfortune and greed. The “Squid Games” is a series of death games that is ran by a filthy cartel of wealthy gamblers.
Each player is found during a difficult time, such as being in massive debt, in a bad emotional state or in some other crippling situation, and they are psychologically tricked into joining the game.
during a difficult time, such as being in massive debt, in a bad emotional state or in some other crippling situation, and they are psychologically tricked into joining the game.
Once a part of the games, they are picked up at a random location, gassed until asleep and taken to an island where the games take place, where they are stripped of everything.
Each of the games is one that the participants played when they were children, including Red Light/Green Light, Honeycombs and Marbles. If a player breaks the rules or loses the game, they will be eliminated or killed.
The games start with 456 players, and the last player gets the money that has accumulated in a large piggy bank on the ceiling of the players’ sleeping quarters. After each death, a certain amount of won, a South Korean currency, is added to the total prize money.
“Lights out” is an event that occurs each night during the possible resting period of the players. It is a time that the players can physically kill each other until the lights are turned back on.
I think that “Squid Games” leaves everyone in disbelief because of the amount of turmoil that takes place and because of the ways in which humans in the show are able to manipulate one another. However, the show is a hit within my family, and I am sure it will be within yours. It has a very rigid story line with a lot of plot turns.
“Squid Games” is a bizarre show that exemplifies the true wrath of humans and the betrayal that occurs every day. The ones who come out on top never get there easily or in a clean way. There is always a pile of dirt to be found in the people we idolize today.
