“Hotel Transylvania 2” movie review

On Friday, Sept. 25 the sequel to “Hotel Transylvania” came out. “Hotel Transylvania 2” had many famous actors and actresses voicing its characters, including returning and new.

The film picked right up from where the last movie left off. Dracula’s daughter, Mavis, gets married to a human and they have a son. The movie is about whether or not the son will be a vampire like his mother and her family, or a human like his father and his family. The parents go on a vacation in the human world, and Dracula tries to train his grandson to be a ‘monster’.

There was nothing too special or significant about this film, but it was cute and entertaining. The film did have good timing being around Halloween, and there were some funny jokes and scenes, but like most sequels, it was not as good as the first “Hotel Transylvania”.

I would recommend this movie for any student with little siblings or kids they babysit. It’s cute, but does not have much to offer for an older audience. Some cartoon movies try to offer something that adults will also like, gearing it towards adults and children, but this movie was more geared towards kids. I give this movie a 6.5 out of 10.
