The Maze Runner book review
James Dashner’s The Maze Runner tells the story of a young boy named Thomas who wakes up in a new place called the Glade, and he doesn’t remember anything but his name.
Every month someone new shows up at the Glade and only boys have ever showed up. However the day after Thomas arrives the first girl to ever be at the Glade comes in. Her name is Teresa and she says everything is about to change and then goes into a coma.
As Thomas gets used to the Glade he is very intrigued by the Maze. The Maze is the only known way out and people called the runners go there and try to find the exit. The Maze is filled with a lot of dangers like monsters called Grievers, and no one before Thomas had ever survived a night in the Maze.
Thomas’ adventure is a dangerous one, and it keeps the readers on the edge of their seat wondering what will happen next. Dashner did a great job keeping the readers entertained and the story is easy to understand. People who like action will love this book.
There are so many twist and turns throughout the story and a great surprise ending that will leave the readers wanting more.
I really enjoyed this book, and I think that Dashner did a great job with it. I’m very excited to read the rest of the series, which is a trilogy. I am also very thrilled for the movie The Maze Runner to come out in theaters on Sept. 19 this year.
I really liked Dashner’s writing style for the book, and the way he sucks the reader into the story. I also really liked the way that Dasner ended each chapter with a cliff hanger. People who like books like the Hunger Games or Divergent will love The Maze Runner. I give this book a 10 out of 10 and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves action and adventure.
