Frozen
One of Disney’s newest animation movies, Frozen, was released to theaters on Nov. 27, 2013. It has since won Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature among many other awards.
Frozen’s plot centers around two sisters, Anna and Elsa, the latter possessing the ability to control ice and snow. The trouble is that Elsa doesn’t know how to control it, and fights to keep her powers a secret in fear of hurting others. To thicken the plot, the two sisters are also the princesses of Arendelle, whose parents died in a shipwreck before the girls were fully grown up.
At Elsa’s coronation as the queen of Arendelle, Anna meets a young Prince Hans. The two fall for each other and ask Elsa’s permission for marriage. Elsa gets upset and loses control, releasing her powers and letting everyone know. She flees, thinking she will be free from worry about keeping her sister safe.
However, Anna goes after Elsa, leaving Hans in charge of Arendelle, which has been covered in eternal snow due to Elsa’s sudden release of her power. Along the way, Anna meets many new friends, including the mountain man Kristoff and his reindeer Sven, along with the living snowman Olaf.
This movie is full of friendship, family and finding one’s self. I would recommend this heart-warming movie to anyone who enjoys a good story. It’s is a whirlwind of action, betrayal and loyalty—a perfect combination. This movie has received high ratings from both critics and me. I give it a nine out of 10.
