Distractions at school spur interesting responses
Most all students have distractions that take away from their school work.
From social media to video games, kids get distraction from their school work. It may not always be the easiest to put away those distractions to focus on school work, but students have interesting responses as to why they are so distant from their responsibilities.
“My life [is a distraction],” freshman Marshall Perryman said. “It’s a lot more interesting than school.”
Not only is life more interesting than school, the devices students use are found to be more interesting. Sophomore Skylar Reuber-Howland said his phone is one of his distractions. Sophomore Braiden Meyers said NBA 2k17 is one of his biggest distractions.
Life outside of school and life in general isn’t the only place where the distractions happen. Distractions happen inside the school as well.
Sophomore Logan Brin said that people talking distract him.
Sophomore Brittani Park has the same problem with the inside school distractions.
“People with their shoulders showing,” said Park.
Another distraction could be one’s own self. Freshman Madelyn Waddell said that food distracted her and sophomore Jacie Robinson said that boredom distracted her.
Senior Mason Potter said that his senioritis distracts him.
