KMEA District results announced

During PRIDE Time, senior Paige Beamer practices the KMEA District Band music in the band room. Beamer received second chair in the flute section for KMEA.

The Northwest Kansas Music Educator Association (KMEA) District results have been announced for band, orchestra and choir. These students will perform on Dec. 7 at Fort Hays State University in the Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center at 3 p.m. 

The students who made it into KMEA District Band include the following: 

Senior: Paige Beamer 

Junior: Ashley Vilaysing 

Sophomores: Dustin Rajewski, Tyler Solida, Abigail Thornton, Savanna Wellbrock and Rachel Windholz. 

Freshmen: Noah Bruggeman, Harlee DannarXinxuan (Alex) Li and Emily Smith. 

The students who made it into KMEA District Orchestra include the following: 

Senior: Michaela Austin 

Juniors: Marrissa Raynesford and Sydney Wittkorn 

Sophomores: Ross Eckroat, Kiersten Goertzen and Perla Zamorano 

Freshmen: Anthony Arial, Katrina Delimont, Riley Kershner, Jordin Myers, Kamryn Steinle and Jalynn Weilert 

And, the students who made it into KMEA District Choir include the following: 

Seniors: Sierra Adkins, Marie-lyn Castaing, Hanna Dannar, Katelyn Engel, Nathan Leiker, Marshall Perryman and Da’Vontai Robinson 

Juniors: Alisara Arial, Zachary Chance, Ean Dexter, Tom Drabkin, Kai Kaufman, Caitlin Leiker, Gabe McGuire, Daylen Vaughn, Alexis White and Elijah Zimmerman 

Sophomores: Carson Brooksher, Aidan DeBey, Ethan Gregory, Alex Johnson, Emma Kuhn, Shirley Lee, Jocelyn Rigler and Samantha Vesper 

Freshmen: Keiarra Gonzales, Devlyn Jochum, Quinton McGuire, Spenser Mills-Kulmala and Remahliel Stull
