Cheerleaders attend end-of-season banquet

The annual cheer banquet was held on March 13 at 6:00 p.m.
Cheerleaders celebrated the end of the season by getting together, eating food, reminiscing about the season and receiving awards.
Some of the awards presented included the Most Spirited Award, which was awarded to junior Alyssa Underwood and Most Improved Award, which was awarded to freshman Marissa Raynesford.
Besides giving awards for cheer accomplishments, team members were also awarded for academic achievement. One award was presented to cheerleaders with a GPA between 3.5 and 3.9. Another award was presented to those who achieved a 4.0 GPA.
The cheerleaders also watched a video of all their favorite moments of the season.
“We got to look back on the season and remember all the great and fun times we had with all the amazing girls,” freshman Devin Taliaferro said. “It was so much fun and I’m going to miss our seniors so much.”
