Boys basketball hosts lock in

On Saturday, Nov. 20, a lock-in was held in the gym for the boys’ basketball team.

“It’s been two years since we last did a lock-in, due to COVID, so the details of planning and timing didn’t work out exactly how we wanted,” head coach Alex Hutchins said. “But, we are thankful for the opportunity to have it again and hope the boys had a good time.”

Lock-in activities ranged from writing about their goals, participating in an “NBA 2K” tournament and playing some basketball.

“Playing [assistant coach] Mr. [Bryan] Zollinger in the ‘NBA 2K’ tournament was the best part of the lock-in,” senior Nate Brooks said.

The lock-in was also a way for the 28 players to get to know each other.

“I think the lock-in is a great chance for everyone on the team to bond and to have the shared experience of going to an event,” Zollinger said.
