Volleyball splits on senior night

Senior Peyton Niernberger spikes a ball on Oct. 22 during a match a home. The lady Indians went 1-1 on the day.

The lady Indians volleyball team hosted Maize and Salina Central on Oct 22. It was Senior night, and they split their final matches on their home court.  

 

They lost to Maize in two sets with scores of 19-25 and 23-25. Seniors Tasiah Nunnery had nine kills and seven assists, senior Sierra Bryant had five kills, junior Kaitlin Suppes had nine assists, and Brooklyn Schaffer had seven digs.  

 

For the last matches of the day, they played Salina Central and won in two sets with scores of 25-19 and 25-22. Nunnery had nine kills and five assists, and Suppes had seven assists.  

 

The lady Indians are now 21-11 on the season. They will play at Maize South for substate on Saturday, Oct. 26, playing Wichita Northwest in the first round.
