The boys soccer team lost 4-1 against last year’s state champions, the Dodge City Demons.

The Indians had an opportunity to score in the first two minutes, but the Demons took back the possession of the ball.

Dodge City found the net first in the 6th minute to take an early lead. The Demons would net two more goals in the 25th and 31st minute to end the half 3-0.

Five minutes in the second half the Demons put their fourth goal in to extend their lead to 4-0.

The Indians find the net in the 59th minute with a goal from junior Jacob Maska and the assist from senior Alex Bogart to cut the lead to three. This goal was only the second time Dodge City has been scored on this season.

The Indians record on the season is now 4-3 and 0-3 in the WAC. The soccer team will play their WAC rivals, the Great Bend Panthers on Sept. 19 at the Hays High School soccer field at 4 p.m.
