Boys soccer team comes back to advance to the championship
The boys soccer team is advancing to the Titan Classic championship for the first time, after beating Wichita Southeast 3-2 in overtime.
Southeast lead the entire first half and went into half time with a 2-0 lead.
Senior Zach Wagner scored in the 50th minute to bring the Indians to within one of the Buffalo. Wagner scored soon after to tie the game from a 40 yard free kick.
To win the game in overtime senior Ethan Nunnery assisted sophomore Matt Goodale off a cross from the sideline that Goodale ran through to put in the back of the net.
The Indians improve their record to 3-1 and will play in the championship at 3 p.m. on Sept. 9 against the tournament host Wichita South.
