Senior Justin McCullick tees off at the Class 4A Regional Golf Tournament in Hays. McCullick finished with a 17th-place medal at the state tournament on May 22.

A lightning delay proved to be a momentum buster for the Indian golf team at the state golf tournament in Wamego on May 22.
After shooting a respectable 15 over on the first nine holes, stormy weather moved in and caused a stoppage in play.

After the golfers resumed, the Indians couldn’t get things going on the back nine, shooting 41 over enroute to a fourth-place finish overall.

The Indians shot a 336 to finish behind Andover with a 329 and Wichita Trinity with a 329. Third went to Wamego with a 332.

Individually, Justin McCullick earned All-State honors by shooting an 82 and finishing with a 17th-place medal. Josh Norris and Tradgon McCrae both shot an 83 for 28th place, while Allen Zollinger ended up in 42nd with an 87. Peyton Kieffer carded a 95 for 63rd, while Brent Koenigsman had to withdraw.
