Lady Indians lose to Olathe South

The Lady Indians basketball team was destroyed against Olathe South, 76-27 on Jan. 29.

The loss to O lathe South makes their record 3-8 in the season.

In the first quarter Olathe South lead the quarter 24-9 against Hays, and maintained their lead in the second quarter increasing their lead 20-7. The score at the half was Olathe South 44-16. In the third quarter Olathe South outscored Hays 23-2, and in the final quarter Olathe South tied Hays 9-9, accounting for the final score.

Audra Schmiedler scored nine points shooting 4-8 inside the arc, 1-3 behind the arc. She had three rebounds and two assists. Mattie Schlaefli added seven points, and Emily Peckham added three points to Hays’ score.

Rounding out the remaining score was Talyn Kleweno, Maddie Keller, Summer Smith, and Nicole Dinkel all added two points completing the final score.
