Volleyball is now 16-5 at Hays Quad on Oct. 2

With the season well under way, the Lady Indians recently played at home on Oct. 2 against Salina South, Abilene, and Norton improving on their season, 16-5.

In the first game against Salina South, the Indians won in straight games with 27-25 and 26-24 victories. Junior Taylor Groen Younger had 12 assists and junior Albany Schaffer led the way with 16 digs. Senior Ashlyn Parrish and junior Tessa Stickel each had seven kills. Parrish also had five blocks for this game.

The team continued their winning streak against Abilene, winning with 25-20 and 25-19 decisions. Junior Kylie Brown, Stickel and Parrish all had seven kills. Junior Madison Prough put up 10 assists and Schaffer had 10 digs for this game. Brown also had five blocks.

In the final game, the Indians played Norton, winning with 25-14 and 25-13 victories. Stickel led the way with six kills while Prough put up 13 assists. Schaffer had 10 digs.

The next action for the Lady Indians is this Saturday, Oct. 4 at the Great Bend tournament.
