Rue 21 changes

Rue 21 in The Mall has moved down in between CJ Banks and Hallmark and the prices have gone up.
“They have so much more stuff and I love it,” sophomore Cassandra Jackson said.
Rue 21 moved to a location that has much more room than before, so they now have more room to display merchandise and they have a wider variety of items in stock.
“It’s nice that they now have a bigger section of masculine clothes,” freshman Sophia Moore said.
In the last location, the store only had one corner for masculine clothing, but now the section is for almost half of the store.
“I have mixed feelings about it,” senior Lexie Reinhardt said. “It’s more organized and they have a wider variety, and a lot more shoes, but they don’t have clearance racks anymore.”
They have more clothing to pick from, and more shoes in stock then they used to. But now there aren’t as many sales.
“They used to have really good sales and now everything is over $20, plus their stuff isn’t that good of a quality,” junior Isabel Lee said. “I think its ridiculous to charge that much for that quality.”
Along with having less sales racks, their prices have gone up, their quality has changed, and some say their stuff isn’t as cute.
“We’re actually more of a guy’s Rue now, and our quality has gone up,” said store manager Nichole, who would not disclose her last name.
The manager said the stock, quality and amount of stock has gone up considerably compared to before, and they have more guy clothing in stock since it’s now a “guy’s Rue.”
“We just don’t have as much clearance anymore,” Nichole said.
Rue’s prices have not changed, they just don’t have as much clearance racks anymore, and there won’t be as many sales.
“We now have a much bigger store and twice the product and customers,” Nichole said.
