“The Princess Bride” movie review

The Princess Bride is considered an American classic by many critics. It incorporates a number of elements, including romance, action, comedy, and political scandal. It also includes tragedy, to a certain extent.

The story begins with a sick child in bed playing video games (which are now very outdated, but such is life). His grandfather came to read him a book. This book, called The Princess Bride, had been in their family for generations, and the grandfather wanted to share it with his grandson.

The book is where the real story takes place. A girl named Buttercup lived on a farm. Working on a farm was a boy named Westley. After a while, the two fell in love. Westley left to go earn money so they could be married.

However, his ship was attacked by the dreaded Pirate Roberts. He was lost at sea, never to be seen again. Buttercup was then chosen by the prince of her country, Prince Humperdinck, to be his bride. Unfortunately, Humperdinck planned on murdering her on the first night of their honeymoon to start a war and ultimately gain control of his country. Buttercup’s love then saves her, and all is right with the world.

I really like this movie. There’s a sense of fantasy, but also a sense of realism. For example, rarely would a prince choose a farm girl for a bride, but the idea of forcefully taking over the throne has been around for thousands of years. In addition, the plotline is intricate and manages to include comedy with the tragedy and the romance. The idea that love can conquer all is my favorite theme in this movie. To me, it provides a sense of hope and purposefulness. I also really liked the abundant comedy and playfulness fused into the already exciting plot.

I’d recommend The Princess Bride to everybody because it includes comedy, action, and romance. In my opinion, it deserves a 10/10 rating.
