Beautiful Creatures Book Review

“There were no surprises in Gatlin County.
At least, that’s what I thought.
Turns out, I couldn’t have been more wrong.
There was a curse. There was a girl.
And in the end, there was a grave.”- Ethan Wate

In a town with no secrets, one girl could change everything.

Ethan Wate is the typical Southern boy. He is tall, plays basketball and, of course, has Southern charm. But when he suddenly starts having bizarre dreams about a girl he has never met, his life is turned upside down. When Lena Duchannes moves to town he suddenly realizes this is the girl of his dreams, literally. There is just one little problem: she is the town freak. As the niece of the town recluse she is automatically looked upon as different. But when strange things start happening, all of which are linked to Lena, everyone realizes she really is different. The entire town turns against her and what was just a friendship between Ethan and Lena has turned into something more. Now Ethan must choose between being accepted and being with Lena, if evil forces don’t get to her first.
