Chamber Singers prepare for upcoming Cabaret performances

Hays High School’s Chamber Singers are planning their Cabaret performance, in which the students determine their own songs that they will perform as a group or as single soloists.
Cabaret will be take place at the Fox Theater at 1202 Main St. in Hays on Sunday, Feb. 19 and Monday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. both nights.
The following students will be taking part in the performances:
Seniors: Anthony Arial, Darian Dodd-Spencer, Keiarra Gonzales, Devlyn Jochum, Savannah Lawson, Quinton McGuire, Spenser Mills-Kulmala, Carter Normandin, Jay Patel, Skyler Rodriguez, Allie Straub, Remy Stull and Seth Tripp.
Juniors: Sam Albin, Brooks Baczkowski, Beth Bowles, Cal Green, Nate Henderson, Brynn Kinderknecht, Brooke Leiker, Eric Lucio, Ellie McGuire, Calvin Moore, Dakota Normandin, Kendra Ryan and Atlas Seib.
Sophomores: Jordan Aschenbrenner, Addy Brull, Aiden Burton, Oscar Flores and Caleb King.
“Cabaret provides an opportunity for students to explore musical theater repertoire,” Chamber Singers director Alex Underwood said. “It gives them a chance to sing solos or duets or songs that just really resonate with a lot of students. This gives them a chance to create and perform and explore the types of roles that they that they can learn and put together and present. And, so, it’s also a chance for the community to get to hear some of the really amazing, talented Hays High School and to get to see them really show off – that’s the point of this Cabaret show.” Cabaret
