Girls’ tennis plays at Cimarron

The girls’ tennis team played at Cimarron on Aug. 28 for their first meet of the fall season, competing against Cimarron, Greeley County/Tribune, Ulysses and St. John.

The team came in first place overall out of all five teams with a total of 21 team points.

Junior Brooke Forinash played number one singles and went 4-0 and secured first place.

Playing number two singles was senior Emily McPherson. She also went 4-0 and came in first place.

The number one doubles team consisted of juniors Fabiola Pyschny and Sylina Zhang. They posted a 3-1 mark and secured second place.

The number two doubles team of freshman Sarah Wyse and sophomore Sierra Brown also made a 3-1 mark and came in second place overall.
