Home Game a Victory

With conference implications on the line, the football game with the Dodge City Red Demons was played tonight. Hays scored the first two touchdowns in four plays.  These scores came on long runs by junior Preston Weigel and senior David Cardinal.

Dodge had a strong passing attack. They struggled with scoring, but scored on at least one long pass.  The Indians started off early with a lead and stayed ahead throughout.

The cheerleaders performed a dance to the song, “What Makes You Beautiful” by One Direction with the Junior Cheerleaders during the first half.  At half time, the marching band and dance team performed.  The band began their performance with “La Fiesta del Tigre.”  Then, they performed the song “Dead Man’s Chest” from The Pirates of the Caribbean featuring the flag team and the tuba section.  The dance team joined them for “He’s a Pirate” and “One Last Shot.” The band finished up with the well-known performance of “On the Warpath.”

The face-off between the Indians and the Red Demons ended up with the Indians on top getting the team a win at a score of 52 to 31.
