Boys tennis competes at Scott City

On April 8, the boys tennis team competed at the Scott City Invitational. The meet was originally scheduled for April 7 but was postponed because of high winds.

Athletes played a total of three games in a bracket and each match was an eight-game set.

Sophomore Colin Clark played in the Singles No. 1 bracket. After losing his first match, Clark won the next two matches, finishing the day at 2-1 and earning fifth place.

Freshman Ken Shaffer played in the Singles No. 2 bracket. Shaffer lost his first two matches but won his last, finishing in seventh place and 1-2 on the day.

Sophomore Henry Fitzthum and senior Ryan Schuckman played in the Doubles No. 1 bracket. After winning their first two matches, Fitzthum and Schuckman lost in the championship match against Scott City, going 2-1 on the day and earning second place.

Sophomore Logan Schmidt and junior Jack Scoby played in the Doubles No. 2 bracket. Schmidt and Scoby won their first match but lost their next two matches, going 1-2 and finishing in fourth.
