Boys varsity wrestling takes seventh overall at regionals

On Saturday, Feb. 19, the boys varsity wrestling team qualified eight wrestlers for state from regionals at Valley Center. Two of the wrestlers, senior Gavin Meyers and sophomore Harley Zimmerman, were champions in their division.

State Qualifiers:

Sophomore Elijah McCullough (25-15) placed fifth.

Senior Brayden Hines (18-10) placed sixth.

Junior Cyrus Vajnar (21-12) placed seventh.

Sophomore Harley Zimmerman (38-2) placed first.

Junior Aaron Weigel (26-11) placed seventh.

Senior Dalton Dale (21-16) placed seventh.

Senior Gavin Nutting (38-3) placed fourth.

Senior Gavin Meyers (33-0) placed first.
