Girls tennis competes in Hays for varsity meet, Western Athletic Conference

Senior Sage Zweifel is competing in No. 1 doubles with senior Caroline Robben. Girls tennis regionals will be on Sunday, Oct. 10, and the location is to be announced.

The girls varsity tennis team played in Hays on Monday, Sept. 27.

Hays Gold placed third overall, and Hays Maroon placed fifth overall. The results are as follows for Hays Gold:

Playing No. 1 Singles, senior Morgan Shorb placed second.

Playing No. 2 Singles, senior Allyson Werth placed fifth.

Playing No. 1 Doubles, seniors Caroline Robben and Sage Zweifel placed third.

Playing No. 2 Doubles, seniors Mallory Henderson and Jersey Johnson placed second.

The results are as follows for Hays Maroon:

Playing No. 1 Singles, junior Britnee Leiker placed fifth.

Playing No. 2 Singles, junior Katrina Delimont placed third.

Playing No. 1 Doubles, juniors Danica Scheve and Kayler Wellbrock placed fifth.

Playing No. 2 Doubles, juniors Morgan Berry and Ava Neil placed third.

Girls tennis next meet was the Western Athletic Conference in Hays on Monday, Oct. 4.
