Juniors Deondre Broom and Bryce Salmans discuss their next play during the scrimmage. The Indians would pick up a road win in Liberal and improve their record to 3-0.

On Sept. 17, the Indian football team traveled to Liberal and brought back a 58-14 win over the Redskins.

The first half looked like a repeat of the first half of the game against Great Bend, with the Indians scoring on seven of their eight first half possessions.

Senior Roy Moroni had 206 rushing yards in the first half and four touchdowns, and senior Jaren Kanak had two touchdowns of his own and one passing touchdown to junior Bryce Salmans.

The Indian defense also contributed to the scoring by tackling Liberal in the end zone, which resulted in a safety.

The clock would run throughout the second half, and junior Trent Summers added one final touchdown to the Indians score, which resulted in the final score being 58-14.

The Indians improve to 3-0 and are 2-0 in the Western Athletic Conference play, and they will host the Garden City Buffaloes on Sept. 24 at Lewis Field Stadium.
