Soccer concludes tournament in Wichita

The Hays High boys soccer team had two games this past week, coming away with a 1-1 record in those two games.

The team plays in an early season tournament, the Titan Classic, in Wichita. During the first game on Sept. 6, which was Labor Day, they lost 2-1 to Wichita Northwest.

Junior Diego Muller scored the lone goal for Hays High.

In the second game, Hays High got its first win of the season on Sept. 8 against Hutchinson. The game was a 2-1 victory for the Indians.

Junior Landen Clark and freshman Cooper Johnson scored to propel Hays to its first victory of the season.

The Indians wrapped up the tournament on Saturday, Sept. 11 then will play their league rivals, Great Bend, on Tuesday, Sept. 14 in Great Bend.
