Girls varsity tennis plays at Cimarron

Girls’ varsity tennis played at Cimarron on Thursday, Aug. 27.
Hays placed fourth overall. The results are as follows:
Playing #1 singles, senior Alexis White placed sixth with a score of 0-3.
Playing #2 singles, junior Jamie Haddaway placed second with a score of 2-1.
Playing #1 doubles, senior Mylah Potter and sophomore Brittnee Leiker placed fifth with a score of 2-2.
Playing #2 doubles, sophomores Kayler Wellbrock and Danica Scheve placed second with a score of 1-1.
The next varsity meet will occur in Hays on Thursday, Aug. 3 at 3 p.m. The first JV meet of the season will be in Hoisington on Tuesday, Aug. 1.
