Indians suffer losses against Maize, Goddard

The Indian softball team traveled to Maize for the Maize Tri where they lost to both Maize, 13-3, and Goddard, 11-0.

In the first game, the Indians scored one in the fourth inning and two in the fifth, while Maize scored seven in the first, three in the third, one in the fourth and two in the fifth.

The Indians had nine hits and four errors to end the game, and Maize had 12 hits and three errors.

Junior Kaitlyn Brown pitched the first game and allowed 12 hits, and had seven errors, three walks and no strikeouts.

The second game, the Lady Indians went scoreless, while Goddard scored six in the first, two in the second, one in the third and two in the fifth.

The Indians ended the game with no hits or errors while Goddard had 12 hits and no errors.

Junior Jaysa Wichers was pitching in the second game and allowed 12 hits, and had 11 errors, one walk and one strikeout.

The Indians are 3-3 on the season and will play on April 5 at Dodge City.
