Sophomore Brooke Denning fakes out Liberal defender and drives to the hole for an easy lay up in a recent home match up at home.

The Lady Indian basketball team are continuing to prove their winning record of 8-1 after the team’s victory against the Garden City Buffaloes in Garden City on Jan 12.

After the first quarter, the Indians were up 12-2 against the Buffalos, who would outscore the Indians in the second quarter 25-27. The Indians would regain the lead and hold it throughout the game winning 54-30.

Leading the team to the win in scoring was junior Savannah Schneider with 12 points, junior Mattie Hutchison with 11 points, sophomore Tasiah Nunnery with 10 points, junior Kallie Leiker and sophomores Isabel Robben and Brooke Denning all with five points, and juniors Cori Isbell, Jaycee Dale, and Madyson Flax with two points.

Leading offensive rebounds was Schneider with three rebounds. Leading assists was Leiker with six
