Girls soccer defeats WAC rival Great Bend

Sophomore Hannah McGuire takes on two Great Bend defenders in a recent home game.

The girls soccer team rolled over their WAC rival the Great Bend Panthers 4-0.

Sophomore Kallie Leiker started the scoring for the Indians in the 5th minute and followed it up with a second goal in the 19th minute giving the Indians a 2-0 just 20 minutes into the game.

Sophomore Hannah McGuire continued the scoring in the 32nd minute. Senior Maddie Keller would finish off the scoring for the game with a goal in the dying seconds of the first half.

The Lady Indians held off the Panthers in the second half to win 4-0.

The girls soccer team’s record improves to 7-4 on the season and 3-2 in the WAC.

The Lady Indians will face off against their cross-town rivals TMP on March 4.
