The Lady Indian basketball team beat the Garden City Buffalos for a second time this season on Jan. 13 at home.

The Indians never trailed in the game against the Buffalos. The Indians kept building their lead through the second quarter, going into the locker room leading the Buffalos 33-22.

The Buffalos fought back in the third quarter, but it still wasn’t enough to lead the Indians. At the end of the third quarter, the Indians led 46-31.

The Indians pulled off the win in the fourth quarter 50-34 led by sophomore Savannah Schneider with 22 points and being the only player in double digits.

“I was just pleased with the effort and intensity that we came out with,” Coach Kirk Maska said.

The Indians are now 1-2 in WAC and 5-3 overall and will play the Dodge City Red Demons on Jan. 17 at home.
