The girls basketball team traveled to Junction City on Dec. 16 and earned a 53-42 win.

The Lady Indians took an immediate 4-0 lead off the tip. They were able to hold off Junction City until they scored, giving Junction City a 7-4 lead. Hays came back and score of nine more points on Junction City, taking a three-point lead. Junction City came back and took a 20-19 lead in the first half.

Junction City tied the game at 24 in the second half, but the Lady Indians took a seven-point lead in the final minute of the third quarter. Hays led by three, leaving the score at 40-37 and then took another 13-point lead. Junction City scored another five points, and the game ended with Hays winning, 53-42.
