Girls golf takes second in WAC after Great Bend invitational on Oct. 6

Senior Taylor DeBoer recently placed second on Oct. 6 at the Great Bend Invitational with a score of 42, only one point behind first place. Other individual scores were junior Katie Brungardt in sixth place with a 47, freshman Emily McGuire in tenth with a 49, and freshman Emily George with a 59.

As for team finishes, the girls took third with a score of 197. Taking first was Garden City with a 186, followed by Great Bend with a 196. Other team scores were Liberal 205 and Dodge City 219.

DeBoer, named WAC “Player of the Year”, took first place in the first team all-Conference with 69 points over the span of five tournaments. Brungardt followed closely behind in second place with a total of 68.5 points. As a team, the girls took second place with 17 points, behind Garden City with 25 points.
