Boys cross country takes second on Sept. 3
The boys cross country team took second at their meet in Great Bend. They were in a pool of 6 teams, and finished 59 points just 17 points behind Garden City.
Taking first was Garden city with 42 points, followed by Hays with 59. Salina South and Great Bend took third and fourth with 75 and 85 points. Rounding off the team scores were Hutchinson and Central Christian with 96 and 187 points.
Junior Zachary Hopp placed 5th with a time 17:46. He was followed by junior Ethan Shippy in seventh place with a time of 18:33. Daniel Lopez and Caden Cunningham took 11th and 16th with times of 18:50 and 19:22. Rounding out the individual scores were Ross Hattan, Alex Tinkel, and Hunter Olsen in 24th, 29th, and 37th with times of 19:57, 20:02, and 20:45
