Lady Indians lose to Liberal, 47-31

The Lady Indian basketball team lost their fourth game of the season to Liberal 47-31 on January 9.

With this loss, the Indian’s record went from 3-3 to 3-4 in the season.

In the first quarter Liberal had a five point lead over the Indians 16-11, in the second quarter Liberal maintained its lead outscoring the Indians 10-8, where the score at half was Liberal 26-19. In the second half Liberal continued to outscore the Indians in the third quarter 10-7. In the fourth quarter Liberal outscored the Indians to 11-5 to account for the final score.

Audra Schmiedler had nine on 4-6 shooting in the arc and 1-1 behind the arc. She had zero assists and four rebounds. Talyn Kleweno put up seven points and Haley George put up six points.

Maddie Keller added three points, while Ashlyn Parrish and Emily Peckham contributed two points, and Summer Smith and Brianna Park both added one point completing the final score.

The Indians will play Great Bend Jan. 13.
