The boys cross country team also took eighth at their meet in Junction City. They were in a pool of 12 teams, and finished with 189 points, just behind Hutch with 188 points.

Taking first was Manhattan with only 40 points, followed by Junction City and Maize, both with 97. Wichita North and Maize South took fourth and fifth with 121 and 142 points. Clay Center finished with sixth and 150 points. Behind Hays were Great Bend and Salina south with 222 and 246 points. Rounding off the team scores were Salina Central and Derby with 262 and 324 points.

SophomoreZachary Hopp placed 20th with a time of 17:32. He was followed by sophomore Ethan Shippy and Freshman Allen Zollinger in 37th and 43rd with times of 18:05 and 18:18. Sophomore Caden Cunningham took 46th with a time of 18:23 and freshman Hunter Olsen 71st, 19:42. Rounding out the varsity scores was Chantz Taliaferro in 80th with a time of 20:27.
