Volleyball goes 1-2 at Hays Quad on Oct. 3

With the season well under way, the Indian volleyball squad is now 6-11.

On Oct. 3, the team had its Hays Quad hosting Salina South, Abilene and Norton where the team went 1-2

For the first game, the squad suffered a loss against Salina South. The Indians opened with a 25-23 decision in the first match but suffered a setback with a 23-25 decision in the second sending the game into three matches. In the third and deciding match, Hays suffered a loss with a 15-25 decision.

The team was unable to turn things around in its second match of the day against Abilene. The team lost in two games going 14-25 and 19-25.

Things finally turned in the teams favor as it won its last match against Norton in two games going 25-22 and 25-23.

Sophomore Morgan Klaus led the way with 14 kills, while sophomore Madison Prough had 35 assists and sophomore Kylie Brown had 15 blocks. Sophomore Albany Schaffer had 49 digs.

The next action for the team will be at Great Bend on Oct. 5.
